[MUD-Dev] Re: You think users won't number crunch and statistise your MUD?

Interesting little news item at that location, that relates to recent
discussions of player-governance and such:
I am Sir Crasty, co-guildmaster of the Plebians. Many have seen us
to be *plebbing* through the Pacific shard of UO. I write to ask
you for your help in assembling one member from each guild on
Sunday, June 28 at 3:00pm Pacific Time to meet in front of Lord
British's castle gate. The goal of my oratory is to replace Lord
British with a player nominated king. The importance of having a
king that is in the shard more than once every 178 days cannot
be overlooked. More details will emerge on Sunday, but please do
me the honor of making a post so the devoted fans of UO and
Stratics can have a chance at a real revolution, and a tangible
King! I know there are some problems with this proposal, but with
good role-playing it can be successful...
Thank You, and PLEB!
Can't help but remind me of how I heard from The Fat Man that apparently
Amy Jo Kim got hooked on Ultima Online, and was on a crusade to get
Richard Garriott to spend time playing in the game world and interacting
with his populace. Knowing Richard as well as I do, I know better than
to ever expect him to do that. It'll be interesting to see how this
would-be revolt turns out, and how the staff chooses to react to it (if at
all).
