It's old (last year) but the archives show no results for "bonefarming":

OK, its an interesting bug in itself, but my point is that it shows
how a single bug can indirectly have other consequences - in this
case, it was possible to deduce most of the magic-item generation
routine's random-seeding function, which was otherwise hidden.

People then started to extrapolate to try and work out how they
could take advantage of this - e.g. by leading monsters to a
particular spot on the map before killing them, in order to "choose"
what class of random item they wanted from the monster.
